Bio

Md. Khairul Amin received his B.Sc. (Hon's) and MS in Chemistry from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. He did his "Undergraduate & MS Thesis" on "Organic Synthesis" with Professor Muhammad Younus. In 15th September, 2015 he joined as a "Lecturer" in Chemistry at Khulna University, Bangladesh. Now he is  working as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry since 16th October, 2017. He was awarded National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship, Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Scholarship, SUST Merit Grants etc. Mr. Khairul is also a member of different professional organizations. He has published 17 articles in renowned peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. His research interest covers Organic Synthesis, Nano-composites, Wastewater Treatment etc.

Current Research
Organic-inorganic nanocomposites have recently received enormous attention because of their potential applications in material chemistry, electronics, optics, environmental chemistry, biology, information technology etc. Currently, we are trying to fabricate novel Metal-Polymer-Metaloxide composites. The usability of the synthesized composites will be studied. Water poisoning for its nearby industries is becoming a great threat for Bangladesh. So, efforts are also being made to treat the wastewater using low-cost natural adsorbent. The efficiency of natural adsorbent over chemical adsorbent will also be considered. My research area covers organic synthesis, composite materials, non-linear optics, wastewater treatment etc.
