MAMUNOR RASHID
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Mamunor Rashid is currently serving as Assistant Professor at Khulna University. He received his B.S.S (Hon's) and MSS in Mass Communication and Journalism from  University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. On 12th January 2016, he joined as a "Lecturer" in Mass Communication and Journalism Discipline at Khulna University, Bangladesh. Now he is working as an Assistant Professor in the same discipline since 14th  February, 2018. Worked as Head In-charge from 18th October 2020 to 13th  June 2021. He was  awarded different Education Scholarship, Merit Grants, etc from the University of Dhaka and different organizations. Mr. Mamun is also a member of different professional organizations. He has published 10 articles in renowned peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. His research interest covers Media Studies, Digital Journalism, New Media Technology and   Communication, Social Media Communication, etc.

Economic and Business Journalism

This course introduces the students to the fundamental principles and practice of business, finance, and economics.  It also trains the students to report and write on contemporary business and economic issues.  It is designed to provide an understanding of economic, business, and financial news and how to write it.

This course is designed to develop the fundamentals of digital photography, history, the basics of image capture, and pioneers of photojournalism. This course is introducing students to take pictures of people and scenarios in different situations. Techniques for taking black-and-white and color photos are explored

This course will explore investigative techniques, including accessing public information, interviewing sources, using online resources, ethics, ensuring accuracy, and fact-checking.

This course provides an introduction to the basic principles of public relations. Students will study the history and trends of public relations, principles, tools, techniques, practices, and ethics. It will introduce students to what public relations are and how they can have a career in the field.

Sessional provides students with the opportunity to gain experience in news writing for television and radio.

Objectives of this course is to offer knowledge on theory and practice of radio and television journalism.   apply the techniques of reporting and editing news for radio and television. understand the growth and development of electronic media.
