Dr. Md. Torikul Islam
Associate Professor

Dr. Md. Torikul islam has been graduated in Physics from Jahangirnagar University. After achieved M.Sc. degree from the same University, he joined as a Lecturer at Physics department, Khulna university of Engineering & Technology (KUET) in 2010 and later on switched to Physics Discipline, Khulna University. He awarded M.Phil. degree in material sciences from KUET in 2013. Subsequently, Mr. Islam achieved Ph.D. degree in Spintronics under Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship scheme from Hong Kong University of science and Technology (HKUST) in 2018.

Condensed matter physics, spintronics, spincaloritronics.


Present research focuses:


·         Magnetic domain wall dynamics under thermal gradient driven in the ferrimagnetic nanowire. (Collaborating with Physics Department, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong).

·         Temperature effect on magnetization reversal of nanoparticle induced by microwave chirp pulse.

·         Influence of shape anisotropy magnetization reversal induced by non-linear down chirp pulse
