Tasks included:
- Assist the principal investigator in preparation of regular plans and reports;
- Develop and design task-schedules and project’s work methodology;
- Supervise spatial and aspatial data collection, process field data to digital format;
- Collect data from Soil Research and Development Institute (SRDI), Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), Rural Electrification Board (REB), Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Institute of Water Modeling (IWM) and Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) etc. Data includes, soil profile, base saturation, electrical conductivity, water alkalinity, rainfall and humidity, TIN, DEM of study area etc.;
- Analyse database in GIS and Remote Sensing environment using ArcGIS and ERDAS IMAGINE software packages;
- Prepare layout maps of potential sites for shrimp cultivation using advanced geo-processing (e.g. advanced suitability analysis using ModelBuilder etc.) and advanced spatial analysis (e.g. spatial interpolation functions like IDW and Universal Kriging, terrain analysis, density analysis etc.);
- Prepare and present phase-wise progress reports of the project, periodic draft report and final report.

- Generate cartographic representation of 6 individual key slums in the Khulna Metropolitan Area (KMA);
- Facilitate in Participatory Resource Mapping (PRM) and develop Social Scoring Index (SSI);
- Prepare baseline survey reports and develop Slum Information Database (SID);
- Facilitate series of discussions, documentation and evaluation with different stakeholders;
- Use Overlay and Zonal Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis tools in GIS environment; identify the dwellings and beneficiaries using different ICT services for last 5 years;
- Evaluate and disseminate research outputs e.g. GIS maps/ simplified database to different users and stakeholders.
